“Soundship”- an immersive experience

A behind-the-scenes look at the creation of “Soundship” an immersive experience by Sonia Jones (video by Adrian Muys from Red Circle Films)

In Soundship, Sonia utilizes digital media to transport audiences and tell the story of her community. Implementing digital animation, traditional painting and projection mapping, Sonia’s installation is an immersive audio-visual experience inspired by the connection between West African and African American culture. Her goal is to send a message to her community about the importance of uncovering the Black/African point of view.
